Sir Anthony McCoy rolled back after coming from top on Quizical at the Pat Smullen Champions Hurry.

The champion jumps gave a vintage front-running performance to overcome against eight other jockeys from codes from your charity race which has received backing that was huge.
McCoy had his bracket in the place from the onset of the one-mile contest and shortly had Quizical into a rhythm and traveling.
Regardless of top-weight, the favourite galloped to beat Aussie Valentine – ridden by McCoy’s great friend and rival Ruby Walsh – by a half and a length dozen. Red Striker was steered by johnny Murtagh into third location.
McCoy – who performed a Frankie Dettori-style flying dismount later – stated:”I am very proud to be here today racing for a great cause.
“We can be very proud of horse racing in general in Ireland. The team, racegoers, owners, trainers, jockeys – everybody has given so much support to the man that Pat Smullen is.
“Pat is a unique person and a great friend to all. Unfortunately it is tough and sad circumstances what we’re doing now, but it just shows you exactly what a fantastic game this is.”
He added:”I genuinely always believed I was going to win! No you wish to compete against the best, which is what sport is all about, and these would be the jockeys we’re ever likely to see.
“I said I’d never ride in a horse race again and that I meant it, but I’m happy I did now. You need to compete with the very best and that is what has created this special.
“I got about the very best horse and that is what counts”
The fame of smullen helped produce the cast for the race.
After being diagnosed with cancer, dermot Weld’s former jockey was forced into retirement – and he was unable to ride inside himself as he is undergoing a second round of therapy.
Clearly moved by the event, Smullen said:”I am really pleased for Sheila and John Lavery who have the horse. John was composed when he got on the horse to be ridden by AP and to find this result is what everyone wanted. It is absolutely wonderful. I am overcome.
“This is not about me personally. This is about people who are in this situation and we’re out make a enormous difference moving forward and to raise a good deal of money and give people confidence, because it will me.
