Odds crash resulting in ‘87% chance of General Election’ this year

Bookmakers have slashed odds on a General Election taking place using a few companies going as short as 1/6 this year, it happens.
In layman’s terms, that is the equivalent of an 86.7% chance that said General Election occurs this year, with money continuing to pour in.
Before today, the grids of Oddschecker revealed 1/3 to get 2019 are the date. However, after a flow of bets, that price isn’t any more.
In general, 8-out-of-10 of all stakes placed on the marketplace over the last 24 hours have endorsed 2019 to be the year that was chosen , dwarfing the rest of the market.
Elsewhere, 2020 is the second most likely year to the next General Election in 4/1, followed closely by 2022 (33/1) and 2021 (50/1).
In terms of who would take the most seats after the next General Election, the Conservatives are heavy favorites at 2/5, followed by Labour (4/1), The Brexit Party (20/1) along with the Liberal Democrats (28/1).
