Boxing: Golovkin vs Derevyanchenko Odds and Prediction

The Empty IBF and IBO??middleweight titles will be on the line this Saturday night in Madison Square Garden in New York.

Competing for the two straps are GennadyGGG Golovkin and SergiyThe Technician Derevyanchenko. The indigenous, Golovkin, is now a -550 favorite with the Ukraine indigenous, Derevyanchenko.
This will be the second time ever and the second time in the last three battles that Derevyanchenko has been a underdog. The 13-1 boxer was a puppy against Daniel Jacobs past October and missing that bout at a split decision. Ahead of that garbage, The Technician had been undefeated, favored on a finish streak and his bouts in all.
Meanwhile, he GGG is a popular if he had been a slight -105 underdog coming back at -125, since hes been for most of his career outside of the Canelo Alvarez rematch. Outside of the Canelo struggles, Golovkin has been a sizable favorite in every bout and holds a 39-0 record with 35 wins coming by knockout. He went 0-1-1 in two decisions that were razor-thin.
GGG likes to get with his enemies in dogfights backing them into a corner searching to allow his hands fly that is heavy. He had a 23-fight knockout streak from 2008 to 2017 before Daniel Jacobs went the whole 12 rounds??but lost by choice.
Not only does Golovkin have hitting power that is extreme but he also has very excellent head motion when hes in the pocket at trades, doing a fantastic job of avoiding the true shots of his enemies. 1 aspect of GGGs protector is that though we have not really seen it wear him down, he does not protect the body and can be targeted on .
The Technician has shouts that are accurate behind lunging movements and jabs, and he arouses them nicely. Even the Ukraine native does a great job through his flurries to combine his pitches up reduced and high with speed and deceptive energy.
By ripping the body, sometimes perhaps a little too close to the 24, Jacobs in their bout defeated over and over again. In trades, Derevyanchenko must do a much better job at bringing back his eyeglasses as he will trade punch but that is a dangerous game with GGG.
2 forward-pressure fighters who prefer to have into a telephone booth and exchange hands. Defensively there are a number of holes, but he tends to timber forward although the Technician might have a slight advantage in hands pace. Meanwhile, the GGG is going to have the advantage in energy, footwork and overall defense.
Prediction: Gennady Golovkin (-550) through Season
Odds at October 2
