Oregon Coast
You need to plan ahead if you want to visit the Oregon Coast with an RV. Ecola State Park, for instance, provides stunning views of Haystack Rock while the crazy beauty associated with the coastline, but need that is you’ll camp in nearby Cannon Beach or Seaside.
Whenever traveling across the Oregon Coast, I’m always happy to camp at certainly one of three big RV campgrounds:
Fort Stevens State Park, a preserve that is vast the mouth for the Columbia River, thrills my internal history geek having a historic fort therefore the shipwreck of Peter Iredale.
Nehalem Bay State Park, south of Ecola State Park on Highway 101, is ideal for us to wander the sandy coastline, enjoy horse riding and rest in RV convenience.
Cape Blanco State Park, in the southern end of this state, gets the right mixture of history and coastline that is rugged with trips associated with Historic Hughes House and Cape Blanco Lighthouse available April through October. (more…)
